Democratic party member that was first sworn in as the People's Representative Council for East Java's seventh district in October of 2019. Since beginning his political career, he has served as a regional coordinator, secretary general, chairman of the Department of Cadreization, and vice chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry for International Promotion, Tourism, Cultural Arts, and Sports.
Prior to his political career, he attended Curtin University in Perth, Australia. He also received degrees from Nanyang Technology University and the Bogor Agricultural Institute.
In May of 2010, he became the youngest secretary general in Indonesia's history. He also received the most votes ever as a member a the Indonesian House of Representatives.
He lives with his wife Ruby and their four children. He is the father of two boys and two girls.
